Our Mission:
To help school age and adult students develop
the skills they need to enjoy music for a lifetime.
Studio Philosophy
We believe that music is a joy.  Making music is a natural way to express feelings, bring pleasure
and build self-esteem.  Studying music develops lifelong qualities such as determination,
responsibility, confidence and poise.  Playing the piano can provide a foundation for other music
study, such as voice or another instrument, as well as dance and drama.
Studio Policies
Lessons are 40 minutes, once a week.
No smoking. No gum. No outside food or drinks.
Students arriving late will receive a shorter lesson.
Parents must pick up children on time after lessons.

Practicing
Students must have an instrument at home. All students are required to play the week’s music
assignment at least twice a day until the next lesson.  Parents must accept responsibility in seeing
that the student has a time set aside for practicing.  Consistent lack of practicing is grounds for
dismissal.

Recitals
Class recitals are held during the student’s class time. These recitals are fun and casual as the
students play in ensemble some of the music they have learned. Parents are invited.  Seating is
limited.

Missed lessons
No tuition credits or make-up lessons are given for missed lessons.
If World of Music cancels a class due to weather or a teacher’s emergency, another class will be
scheduled or credit for the class will be given.
If KISD is closed for bad weather World of Music will be closed also.

Investments

Tuition can be paid by a series of postdated checks.
The student’s name should be written on the memo line of each check.
