| Guitar class information The Beginners Guitar Course is offered for students from 3rd grade through adult. The student is presented with techniques for solo playing and chord accompaniment. Fundamental musical knowledge is developed as students read music from the staff. Lessons are 40 minutes, once a week. Students must provide their own guitars. Acoustic nylon or steel string guitars are recommended. Electric guitars without amplification may be used during the first classes. Small amplifiers may be used later in the course.
